Project aim

PROGPIC001.JPG

A programmer/in circuit debugger based on an Elektor realization (October 2006).

Can program all the PIC I have used (an probably many others...).

Schematic

PROGPIC002.GIF

A simple schematic with :

- The Elektor programmer / in circuit debugger,

- An extension board able to deal with most of the PIC formats (including the in circuit connector),

- An input for the 5 V supply for an autonomous operation.

Component side

PROGPIC003.GIF

A board with no particular difficulty.

Don't forget the 7 straps on the component side.

PCB

PROGPIC004.GIF

The PCB of the board.

It is a 4 by 2.5 inches board at 600 dpi resolution.

Mounted programmer

The finished project in an 4/B box of the TEKO "Aluminum" series.

I use it under MPLAB as an ICD 2 with an USB - serial converter.

One trick : I had a problem with MLAB 7.50 with the serial link number. To bypass, I had to change the serial port during the ICD installation.
