Project aim |
A software and hardware test platform for MCS51 based projects. With : - A PC-AT keyboard, - A 400*64 LCD display, - Outputs for 2*16 LCD, I2C bus, RS232, extension,... |
|
General schematic |
The general block diagram of the platform. The link allows to connect, so to test, boards with the new connector standard ("Peri01") that I use now (except for interrupt). See aquarium controller page for the direct connection of a display. |
|
Processor schematic |
I am actually using the "8031 base 1" processor board with 8k of EPROM and 32k of RAM. Click on the picture to get the details for this board. |
|
Power supply/serial link schematic |
The power supply scheme (using and external standard supply block) without the battery option that I initially have in mind but don't have the need for, until now. |
|
400x64 display schematic (1/2) |
The graphic display part built with an (old) display and an homemade controller (here the source and binary files of the GALs). |
|
400x64 display schematic (2/2) |
I recommend to use one of the new displays including their controller connected to the board as the same manner than the double 16 characters ones. I have made a PCB (with a consequent hand wiring). Send me an email if you want it. |
|
Software |
Monite14.zip (4 k) file (19/04/2021) including : - MCS51 binary file (intel-32 format), - Its documentation (with the PC serial link configuration needed). |
The software reduced to a monitor, allowing a PC, through a serial RS232 link, to remotely test some hardware (read/write of a board under test for instance) and/or to download a software under design in the platform. |
